Doofus Of The Day #640

Today's award goes to the Prince Charles Cinema in London, England.

Cinema-goers have often wished for a more effective deterrent against those annoying people who talk or answer their phone during a film.

Now staff at London's Prince Charles cinema - perhaps most famous for hosting occasional singalong screenings of films like The Sound of Music - have come up with the idea of employing "ninjas" to stamp out audience members' bad behaviour during regular screenings.

There's more at the link.

Apparently these masked 'cinema ninjas' will touch or otherwise attract the attention of offenders, and ask them to stop.  Well, allow me to inform the staff of any movie theater wishing to follow the example of the Prince Charles Cinema:  in the light of the recent cinema shooting incident in Colorado, if any masked 'ninja' taps me on the shoulder during a movie, he'll be trying to speak with the muzzle of my gun between his teeth, whilst simultaneously nursing the broken bones in his hand and arm!

How stupid can you get?

But....guns are banned in England, aren't they? :)

Pretty much yeah, much of the police don't even carry guns regularly. There was a case recently(couple of days ago) where two policewomen tried to arrest a wanted murderer, he was wanted for shooting someone to death, the policewomen were not armed, they are now added to his deathtoll... Now there's some real darwin grade doofidity for you.

Maybe they should just do it old-style: uniformed ushers with flashlights. Perhaps the term "ninja" was just hyperbole for "unobtrusive."
